Covid Vaccine Programme Update 8th March

Second Dose Appointments

If you had your first dose at the Pangbourne Covid Vaccination Clinic in December or January, you may have been given a date for your 2nd dose at 12 weeks. Please treat this date and time as provisional, we may need to bring your appointment forward – we will contact you nearer the time, please wait to hear from us.

If you had your first dose with us on 22nd / 23rd / 24th December, and you have not heard from us in the past week – please get in touch – as we need to re-book your second dose appointment.

If you had your first dose with us since 1st February, you will be contacted to book your second dose when we have a delivery date confirmed for your vaccine – this will be before 12 weeks.

Unlike Mass Vaccination and Local Pharmacy Sites, we have to await confirmation of our delivery dates for 2nd dose vaccines before we can create a clinic and book our patients in. Please be assured, we will be in touch when your 2nd dose is due.

COHORT 6 (16 – 64 years ‘at risk’)

We are still in the process of inviting this cohort for their vaccine. This is the largest and most complex cohort and unfortunately, we can only vaccinate at the speed of the supply we’re given – if we could order more, we would! Please continue to wait to hear from us, we will be in touch soon and really appreciate your patience during this anxious time.

COHORTS 1 – 4 (70+ years and CEV)

If for whatever reason you are yet to be vaccinated but are now in a position to take up the offer, please do get in touch with us by any means so we can get you booked in.

COHORTS 5, 7 & 8 (56 – 69 years)

You are now able to book to have your vaccine at a mass vaccination site or local pharmacy site – please visit Book a coronavirus vaccination – NHS (www.nhs.uk)

Booking A Vaccine

Book a coronavirus vaccination – NHS You also need to be registered with a GP surgery in England to use this service. You can register with a GP if you do not have one. Find out more about who is eligible to have a coronavirus vaccination. Wait to be contacted. The NHS will let you know when it’s your turn to have the vaccine.

If you are 65 years or above and would prefer to go Pangbourne, please email us at covid.vaccine1@nhs.net. Again, please do not telephone the Practice.

If you are 56 – 64 and would prefer to come to us in Pangbourne, please wait to hear from us – we will invite you when the priority cohorts above you have been completed.

Parking at The Pangbourne Club is a privately owned ‘pay & display’ car park operated by a camera – you must purchase a parking ticket to avoid a fine – even if you have a blue badge.

Please do not arrive early for your vaccine appointment.

We kindly ask that you do not contact us to ask when you will be invited, we will be in touch when it’s your turn.

Please do not contact us to ask if you can be put onto a reserve list, and do not turn up at a clinic asking for a spare dose.

As you will no doubt appreciate this is an enormous undertaking and is the biggest and most complex vaccination programme we have ever implemented. Thank you for your patience and understanding, it is very much appreciated.

Thank You

On behalf of the whole covid vaccine team, a BIG THANK YOU to the wonderful team of volunteers.
