As the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend arrives, your GP Practice – and all of local health and care services – will be working hard to make sure you stay safe and well. You can help us by making sure you are prepared for the bank holiday weekend and by using the right service at the right time.
Please make sure you have all the medicines you may require ahead of the four-day break.
If you need to get a prescription, or a repeat prescription, filled, please do so as soon as possible. Your GP practice will be closed after Wednesday, 1 June (reopening on Monday, 6 June), so please get your prescriptions to us by Monday, 30 May if possible.
Please also make sure you have everyday medication like paracetamol or cough remedies available – it may be spring, but there are still lots of illnesses circulating.
If you need healthcare advice or support but are not sure what health service option to use, and if it is not an emergency, go to 111.nhs.uk. Due to high levels of demand, the 111 telephone service is currently extremely busy and is expected to remain so over the bank holiday period – please use the online option where possible.
If you do need to access a pharmacy this weekend, please be aware that many will be operating reduced hours. Local pharmacy details can be found via the NHS ‘Find a pharmacy’ service.
If it is a serious or life-threatening emergency, please do not delay – call 999 or go to A&E if you can safely do so.

We would like to thank all our patients for their support and to wish them a happy and health Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.
